Shout It Out!

“Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: ‘The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!’” (Psalm 118:15)

A short and simple thought today, comprised of some questions to consider:

When was the last time you celebrated with a shout of joy to the Lord? Have you been too contained? The psalmist recalls the great victories the Lord has brought into his life. Triumphs can be in breaking free from bondage, accepting freedom for the past that God no longer remembers, renewed vision and purpose, the deepening and growth of a relationship, new career opportunities, closeness to God, a physical healing, or seeing God change lives.

The psalmist begins by affirming that the Lord’s love endures forever. The Lord answered his prayer and brought an escape from the enemy. God is with the psalmist, and He is with us! Escape from the enemy and all his tactics is readily available. Overcoming fears is another victory. The psalmist is so grateful to be alive. How about you? God gave him strength and joy in his heart. Can you relate to any of these?

What would it take for you to give God a shout of praise? I submit that answering these simple questions and pondering these simple yet profound truths will put all of us on “shouting ground” today! Go ahead, shout it out…our God is worthy!

                                                     Pray with Me:

Lord Jesus, I come into your presence today to shout joy and victory! You’ve done and continue to do so much for me and I’m going to praise you! Accept my offering of praise just now, and I commit to continue to shout it out throughout this day. Amen.
